Why organise a team building if you can just grab some beers with your team instead?
We get it… Not everyone likes planned gatherings or networking.
Yet, we often receive surprised comments after running a team building program. It usually goes like this: “Wow, I thought this was going to be sh*t but you guys actually did something incredible,” or “We never thought we would see our big boss run around the room like that, we really appreciate the opportunity to connect on a more personal level with our top management”.
This is great feedback for us as it confirms that the stereotype of team building being “cheesy organised fun” is still alive.
However, there is actually a way to instantly refute that idea – from the second that people walk through the door – and that is, with a CSR-focused team building program.
Here's why... a CSR team building activity:
- Puts your own livelihood into perspective
- Opens up people’s minds to try something new
- Engages teams to work together towards something bigger than their individual selves
- Develops a sense of community and improves teamwork
- Increases positivity, gratitude and workplace happiness
- Adds meaning to daily work and has meaningful takeaways
- Leaves everyone with a good feeling and a positive sentiment towards your organisation
- … and it can even be added to your company’s annual report in the CSR section
Here are some ideas of CSR programs you can organise for your team.
And even if you don’t want to run a CSR-focused program, we give back to the community with each program that we run. Drop us a note if you are interested to hear more about this.
Here’s to meaningful team gatherings!
